The CAN Reading Group is designed to facilitate learning and deliberation among anyone interested in making the present intelligible and meaningful. With it, we wish to combine the topical and socially-salient focus of sociology, the theoretical rigour of the humanities, the historical acumen and depth of classicists and anthropologists with the pragmatics of those oriented to commerce and policy. Adding a sprinkling of the revolutionary's fervour and especially untimeliness wouldn't be bad either.
